About the Minecraft server.

As it seems we're not getting anywhere in a week's time and there are so many different opinions about it, I thought it's best that I cut the knot.

The decision
We give Double-13 and TheSniperBase three (3) weeks to do with the 24/7 Minecraft server what they've thought out.
That is: three weeks that the Minecraft-server is on-line. So if it's off-line for some days, those will be added after that. If it's off-line for than two days, they'll get an extra day on that.

The reasons
They actually put a lot of effort in that, and I really like their idea.
Also, they both have significant experience setting up and maintaining Minecraft servers ( and have already put a cr*pload of work in this one ).

If it doesn't work out
If it 'works': people are joining the server and like it, that prove to be the best thing to do.
If it did not, we could think out something else, which we could then discuss later.


If there are any serious flaws in their plan, you could point them out here. Then it's up to them.

Our idea for the server is:

We will have 5 worlds:

- Vanilla (Everyone can Access)
- Nether (Everyone can Access)
- iConomy World (Everyone can Access)
- Creative (DDFS, VIP and Advanced Builder can Access)
- Event World (DDFS Only)

Vanilla is, well vanilla minecraft but without the nether or the end for now.

The iConomy world allows you to use shops and make money, with the addition of the nether.

Creative is creative but with plots, DDFS, VIP and Advanced builder can access this world.

- DDFS and the VIP's can have a plot and use WorldEdit, /i and GM1.
- Advanced Builder can have a plot and use just /i and GM1.

The event world is for, events.

We will allow homes on the iConomy world, Builders can set 1 home, AdvBuilder can set 3, DDFS and VIP's can set 5.

The server is still very laggy with only 3 people on it. I would suggest fixing this lag before trying to get tons of people playing.

I dont have mutch problem with lagg but winston informd the hosting company
Its a windows server not a linux

I have some lag as well now and then.

Idk when its lagging for the times i feel it i cant see any big memory or prosessor spikes n the console
But remember it can also be mc itself because its a beta build

I'm pretty certain that the lag isn't being caused by something me and double have done, I'm starting to think it's something on the hosters side.

That's what I'm also thinking. Did someone contact the hoster about this issue?

Well, pluto said he has set up a VPS. Now I'm not entirely sure how this works, but I haven't got the credentials yet anyway.

I'm not really sure, but I think that should fix this problem. I will contact him about the said issues, though.

I leave double in charge of the server, if you need something done on there ask him. I've had enough of a certain person abusing their rights on the server.
