Alright, I am pretty disappointed by this news. I think DICE and EA really should take their time. They have made a lot of mistakes the last couple of years (BF:BC, BF:BC2, BF;Heroes, BF: P4F and BF3).

Bad company series = Spinoff (Not terribly bad, certainly had a bit of freedom)

BF:heroes + BF;P4F = Spinoff (Is this even to be called a Battlefield game?)

BF3 = Serious attempt, bad choises.

I have the feeling that DICE has forgotten the roots of the franchise. Freedom, teamplay and even more vital aspects of the franchise have already (partly) been vanished. From what I've been reading in the comments, is that pretty much everybody here is disappointed.

I guess Battlefield 4 will be settled in the future. Because everyone is tired of this modern day setting. Call of Duty is making the first steps, Battlefield will certainly follow. And I think this is a good thing though. I would love to see those battlewalkers and titans with the frostbite engine (according that it will be kind off the same as 2142).

It is not unusual that they already reveal the next Battlefield game. So far every title has had a development of approximately 2-3 years.

Moral of this story is that DICE and EA should learn from their previous mistakes.

Battlefield 4 will probably be as rushed as Battlefield 3 and will end up being a terrible game. They over hype the shit out of it to compete against Black Ops 2, just like what they did with Battlefield 3, but they will no doubt deliver a simple piece of crap.

It's not THAT terrible compared to battlefield 3. It's hardly a Battlefield game though (except that it has vehicles), but yes, the game is shit.

i don't think that BF4 is going to be rushed since the beta is starting fall 2013 but i hope they change the BF4 name.

indeed with nutid, i mean its not rushing releasing a beta in 2013 fall, and thats just beta i mean its like 1 and a half year until they release the full game
